adidas trainers jd sports Anna Rohrer wins Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational 5K
The sophomore is coming off of a freshman season where she missed some time battling minor health issues.
“I’ve definitely learned a lot from last year,” Rohrer said. “I was starting to get sick again,
like I did last year and I caught it and realized, you know,
skipping a workout is going to be better for me and that’s what’s going to be best if I want to race fast Friday. Little things like that and I have a better schedule this year so it’s more manageable but I’ve definitely learned to balance better than last year.”
Soon after Rohrer finished the race, after congratulating her competitors on a race well done,
she had a group of familiar faces waiting to congratulate her. All of which were sporting Mishawaka Cavemen apparel; her high school Alma mater.
“It’s so much fun,
” Rohrer said. “As soon as I saw them, just a huge smile on my face. That is definitely a perk of staying close to home. I kind of debated it when I was deciding where to go but definitely very glad I stayed.”
